Line Type Issue

LTS is not showing up properly in model space. I have LTS set to 0.5 and the LTS factor is set to 1 for all objects. Usually this allows my layers to show correctly on plan, but everything appears to be solid lines. Anything I’m missing here?

I’m assuming the architect has some setting on causing this since I believe this file originated from themm

Hi there,

Issue:

You have a non-continuous linetype that displays properly in Paper Space but does not display correctly in Model Space.

Causes:

This can be the result of the MSLTSCALE and/or PSLTSCALE system variables not being set properly.

Solution:

Starting with AutoCAD 2008, linetype scaling in model space is controlled by the variable MSLTSCALE and in paper space with PSLTSCALE.

The MSLTSCALE system variable controls whether or not linetypes displayed on the model tab are scaled based on the annotation scale.

    • 0 = Linetypes displayed on the Model tab are not scaled by the annotation scale

    • 1 = Linetypes displayed on the Model tab are scaled by the annotation scale

Note: MSLTSCALE Overrides LTSCALE and CELTSCALE in model space, but it doesn’t effect paper space, so it won’t change how your geometry looks inside your viewports.

The PSLTSCALE system variable controls the linetype scaling of objects displayed in paper space
viewports.

    • 0 =  No special linetype scaling

    • 1 = Viewport scaling governs linetype scaling

For example, if you have a hidden line that displays correctly in model space and in paper space by setting MSLTSCALE to 1, AutoCAD will re-generate the linetype by the annotative scale after REGEN. You will end up seeing model space line as shown in Image 1 and paper space will look like Image 2.

Hope this helps 🙂
