Can anyone recommend any good online courses for learning CAD?
I’d like to learn AutoCAD this year and wondered if anyone could recommend any good resources? Thanks!
Hi Paul, Thanks for your great suggestions. Some of those sites look excellent. Shout out to you too as your own Cadsetterout.com looks like a great resource for learners like me! I really appreciate your advice. Are there any YouTube channels you’d also recommend?
I was given an evaluation course from
http://www.globaletraining.ca/etraining-courses/product/autocad-advanced-2017-guided/
It was thorough. Its been a few years so i’m not sure how the course is these days. From what i remember it was a lecture/slide sort of interaction.
Id try something like Paul mentioned and if you find yourself needing more i might look into something like global e training or some local course at a reseller or community college.
I personally like MOOCs or online courses, I have been following a course that has been on Lynda lately for 500$, what’s more amazing is that I have found another version of the same course with the same instructor on YOUTUBE for FREE:
Don’t thank me, go ahead start learning 😉
Will finish in 5 more days soon ( Hope so)
Wow, thanks Ahmed. Amazing find!
What can you do to improve your skills?
Learn, just learn; there are massive support online, massive online courses, you just have to participate and remember 80% of Success is showing up.

Revit Tutorials http://www.digitaltutors.com/software/Revit-tutorials
Youtube is a great source:
AutoCAD
Revit
MOOCs search engines also are very very helpful:
I use Lynda.com it has easy to follow videos
I can vouch for this one, I learned AutoCAD’s Revit exclusively through Lynda and browsing through CAD forums. I find the best way to learn a program is to learn the basics and just Google anything else that you don’t know how to do.
