Is this laptop is suitable for AutoCAD ?

Hi, I was looking to buy a new laptop  and I was thinking about this one: http://a.co/d/aYXInQH

The laptop is a ‘Dell XPS Thin & Light Gaming Laptop – 15.6″ FHD, 8th Gen Core i7-8750H CPU ‘

and I wonder will this laptop will work for AutoCAD and for similar programs ? I am mainly talking about a graphics card which is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Is it suitable for AutoCAD ?

Hey Sky07,

According to a post I published on scan2cad.com – the GTX 1080  is suitable for AutoCAD. Source: https://www.scan2cad.com/cad/cad-graphics-card/

That’s a higher model than the 1050 but I would guess that it would work.

However, you need to be wary of using a gaming graphics card for CAD. The best recommendation would be to use a CAD graphics card for CAD.

Are you intending on using this laptop for more than just CAD work?
