I have Exclamation marks by my dimension text – What are they?

What are the exclamation marks next to the dimension text for?

Causes:

When the annotation monitor is toggled on, these alerts display next to associative dimensions that have become dissociated from their objects.

Solution:

 

To keep the annotation monitor on, and reassociate the dissociated dimension:

  • Select the alert next to the dimension.
  • Choose Reassociate.
  • Select the point that the dimension should reassociate with.

To toggle the annotation monitor off:

  • At the command line, enter ANNOMONITOR and set this variable to -1.
