How to Rotate an Object to an Existing Line?

How do I rotate an object to an existing line within AutoCAD?

To Rotate an Object to a Specified Angle:

 

  1. At the command line, enter rotate.

  2. On the object you want to rotate, select the Base point.
    (In the following example, the angle on the left is 23 degrees, and the angle on the right is 0 degrees.)

  3. Enter ref (Reference) and select the endpoint of the line you want to rotate.

  4. At the Specify New Angle prompt, select the first and second points on the object whose angle you want to match and press Enter.
    The first object is rotated to match the angle of the second object.
