How to make Lines meet in a AutoCAD 2016?

I am having a hard time joining two lines together, each time I do it it comes near but they do not meet or snap together as a result they do not form a loop

I need a fast and effective way to quickly join lines after they have been drawing and another way to make sure they snap to each other in the first place when drawing them the first time

Any ideas?
Thanks

Make sure you have snaps enabled. you can type OSNAP to select the setting and hit F3 to toggle them osnap on and off. Often if the snap i want is not showing up i will hit CTRL + RIGHT CLICK to bring up a snap override menu and select the snap i need. Im guessing you may need endpoint snap enabled.

The fillet tool is going to be your best friend for lines like these! Just set the radius to 0 and you can join any two lines together at the point where they’re supposed to intersect.
