How do I use Superscript/Subscript/Stack code?

I’ve been using AutoCAD for a looong time.  So long that I can remember that there used to be a “%%” code for subscript and superscript… but too long to remember what those codes were.  Or am I just getting senile? (wouldn’t shock me).

Can anyone remember what those codes were?

Hi there

The trick is to insert a carret (ie. “^”) either after or before the text you want to super or subscript.

For example, let’s say you want to Superscript “10.0ft2” Enter the text as follows: 10.0ft2^ (note the carret adter the “2”), now highlight the 2^, and then click the A/B stacking button

To do H20, enter the text as H^2O, higlight the ^2, and theb click the stacking button

For more MText tricks, check out the article I wrote for AUGI World:  http://www.augi.com/library/autocad-tricks-for-mtext-beyond-the-basics1

Hope this helps 🙂
