How to Explode non-uniformly scaled 3-D blocks?

I have been having some troubles exploding blocks with a scales other than 1.0 in x,y and z properties. Explmode is set to 1 and exploding is allowed for the blocks in question. Is there any thing I am missing to allow explosion of said blocks? Or is exploding blocks in autocad with differing xyz scales just not possible (seems silly if it is). Is there any workarounds if so? copying the block and pasting as a 1-1 scale with same dimensions as before? Pretty confused as to why such a program has these limitations.

Hi there,

You can go ahead and use BURST instead of EXPLODE

It’s basically the same command but with attributes preserved

A full tutorial can be found here :

Hope this helps 🙂
