What DXF Files are you talking about? Please provide more information so we can help.

In general, DXF files can contain many different units of measurement. Including inches, centimetres, millimetres and feet.

My guess is you’re talking about the free DXF files provided by scan2cad.com  ?

Ah OK. Yeah as JavaParaTrooper has mentioned this is a forum is not realted to Scan2CAD’s free DXF files  but fwiw; I think the DXF files you’re referring to do not have a unit of measurement assigned.

DXF file units don’t work the same as g-code files. With g-code files you can define imperial (inches) or metric (mm).

However, I’m pretty sure most CNC software do not support the unit measurement format written into DXF files.

You should be able to scale the files and use any format you chose.

Luke is right in saying that DXF files don’t typically have standardized units assigned to them. Some programs do tend to assign standard “Units” to drawings, so if you’re using AutoCAD or any similar program, you can actually set the default “Units” in the Drawing or Model Properties.
