Command Line Input Problems
I just converted from 2012 to 2014 and I’m having a lot of problems when entering commands… i use right-click as enter, and enter commands using my left hand on the keyboard using mostly one and two-letter command aliases – and i move very quickly. The problem is, i will be entering commands quickly, and somehow wacky commands get started that i did not start and are nothing like my aliases. I have turned off all of the autocorrect options in the command line input settings, but this does not help. unless i am very slow and deliberate entering commands and then right clicking for enter, i’m getting the wrong command almost every time. this has not been a problem on past versions, although i never tried 2013. is there some setting i am missing? anyone else experiencing this problem?

Cause:
The PICKDRAG system variable has been updated in AutoCAD 2012 to include a new option. Traditionally (before AutoCAD 2012), you had to choose between two methods for specifying a selection window. When PICKDRAG is set to 0, you create a selection window by picking (and releasing) to specify the first point and then picking (and releasing) to specify the second point. If PICKDRAG is set to 1, you pick the first point and continue holding down the mouse button as you drag. Releasing the mouse button specifies the second point of the selection window. A new option in AutoCAD 2012, PICKDRAG = 2, combines both of these behaviors so you don’t have to choose!
Solution:
“PICKDRAG = 0” in the command line
