Best way to find differences in 2 versions of DWG

I’m working on looking over some structural drawings sent over by a structural engineer for a house project, specifically the column size and layouts they set up. I’m currently resorting to grouping up the columns and pasting them over the original architectural plan I’ve made. The process of doing this and looking at any conflicts with the column is a bit tedious, so I was wondering if anyone had a more convenient/efficient workflow to go about looking at differences and conflicts between two DWG files.
