What are the most common industries that use AutoCAD?

I have worked in the Engineering /Architectural/consulting industry using AutoCAD products. Are there other industries, or lines of work that use AutoCAD products besides Engineers and Architects?

Other than Engineering and Architecture allied fields (e.g. Interior design, Landscape architecture, Urban design), you’ll find that a lot of Industrial Designers make use of AutoCAD products. Video game designers also use Autodesk products to develop and construct 3D models and 3D worlds. Lastly, it’s a bit niche, but I know a few graphic designers that are comfortable with the AutoCAD interface and prefer to use the program for certain logo designs.

Exactly right! In that vein, there are those that also use AutoCAD for stage design’s different aspects – lighting sets, scenic and film designs, and even museum exhibit design.
